About Road Blasters
Road Blasters is a futuristic car racing game by Atari. Released in 1986/87.
How to Play Road Blasters
The aim of this arcade game is to complete 50 rallies without running out of fuel. Collect the green and red fuel cells to boost your remaining supplies and collect the special weapons from the over head drones. Once you reach the half way point of each rally you will receive bonus fuel. Make sure you destroy cars along the way for extra points and more bonus fuel.
More Info
Making contact with enemy vehicles, obstacles or being hit by projectiles will destroy the player's car. This will remove any power-up that is in operation, and also resets the multiplier scoring back to 1. Additionally, there is a loss of a small amount of fuel and a replacement vehicle is put on to the road. There is no limit to how many times the player can destroy the car, however the game will end though, if both the main and reserve fuel tanks become empty.
The player may continue as many times as they wish in the first 49 rallies, but is only given one chance to attempt to complete the 50th and final one. Completing the final rally awards the player a bonus score of one million points and then ends the game.
