About Out Run
Out Run is a car racing arcade classic by Sega released in 1986. It is still one of the most popular car games ever and a game changer at the time.
How to Play
Listen to the classics sounds of Passing Breeze, Splash Wave and Magical Sound Shower as you try to Out Run your way through 5 fast paced timed stages.
The aim of the game is simple. Complete each stage before the timer runs out to continue to the next. There are five stages in total and a number of different routes are taken to complete the game.

The car featured in Out Run is a Ferrari Testarossa Spider and driven from a 3rd person rear perspective. The games camera is placed somewhat near to the ground in an attempt to simulate a Ferrari driver's position.
The Out Run course is divided into multiple stages (5) that each end in a checkpoint. Reaching the end of a stage before the time runs out, provides the player more time for the next.
Toward the end of each of the first four stages, the track forks, thus giving the player a choice between two routes. This feature allows there to be five different final destinations. Getting to the different final destinations effectively represent different difficulty levels and each of them conclude with their own different scene ending. Most of which are quite comical and cool.

great car game from 1986. i remember the sit down version. it was ground breaking in its day and would still happily pay to play this. would love to have one for the house. out run is still incredible fun to play even 30 years plus later.
