Super Mario Kart 2 is a fast and fun racing game. Instead of using a car, Mario uses a Kart ! It was developed by Nintendo and released on the NES in 1992 and sold almost 9 million copies.

How to Play

Super Mario Kart features several single and multiplayer modes. Players can take control of one of eight Mario characters and drive karts around various tracks. The basic goal is to finish ahead of other racers.

In battle mode the aim is to attack the karts of your opponents. There are tiles marked with question marks around the race tracks. These tiles give power-ups to a player's kart if passed over. These power-ups give abilities such as being able to throw shells and bananas, and allow the racers to hit other ones with these objects, which causes them to spin and momentarily lose control. A kart that gets the star power-up gets temporary immunity to attacks. Computer characters have specific special powers which they can use throughout the race.

Lines of coins can be found on the tracks in the competitive race modes. By driving over these coins, it increases a karts top speed. Having coins also helps you when your kart is hit by another players. Instead of spinning and then losing control, you just lose a coin. Coins are also lost when a players kart is hit by power-ups or falls off the race tracks.

Super Mario Kart also features advanced maneuvers like hopping and power sliding. Power sliding lets a kart maintain speed while turning, but if you execute the maneuver for too long, it will cause the kart to spin out of control. Hopping helps karts execute tighter turns, with the kart making a short hop and turning in mid air and then speeding off in the new direction when it lands back down.

E = START

R = SELECT

← → ↑ ↓ = LEFT / RIGHT / UP / DOWN

Z = B Button

X = A Button

Q = L Button

W = R Button

Use RIGHT and LEFT arrow keys to direct Mario. UP to accelerate and DOWN to brake. Avoid the banana peels or you will skid out of control and lose ground on your Mario Kart Rivals. Collect the STARS to gain energy and power-ups. Good Luck !
