About Bubble Bobble 2

Bubble Bobble 2 is a 1993 platform arcade game by Taito. It was not released to the arcade, but to NES and Gameboy, and the Game Boy version in Japan is known as Bubble Bobble Junior.

How to Play

The aim of the game is pretty much unchanged from the original game. Clear each stage by catching all the enemies in bubbles, then jumping on them and bursting them dead. The more you kill in one burst, the better the rewards and scoring.

Plot

According to the NES manual, the game stars Bub and Bob, the original duo. On the game's back cover, it shows Cubby and Rubby, Bub and Bob's descendants.

In the games intro, Bub, and a girl named Judy, are sitting in a park. Suddenly, a floating skull character, who is one of the Skull Brothers, captures Judy in a bubble, then sends her and Bub into the air above. Two characters named Drunk (from the original Bubble Bobble game) follow the skull and take Judy away. Bub turns into a bubble dragon and heads off to rescue his girlfriend. There's also a two-player mode, seemingly implying that Bob's suffered the same event as Bub had done. Although, the manual states that Judy is a friend of both.
