About ATP Tour Championship Tennis
ATP Tour Championship Tennis is a 1994 tennis game released by Sega for the Genesis console.
How to Play
The ATP Tour is the main game mode. It begins with the user creating a player and making customizations of things such as date of birth, height, weight, and nationality. Additionally you can set things like whether or not your player is left or right-handed, and which two moves/shots for the backhand and forehand you want.
When the game starts, you are positioned at the bottom of the rankings. The ATP Senior Tour is made up of a single-elimination tournament consisting of eight retired players. There is a of total 40 licensed ATP tennis players in ATP Tour Championship Tennis. 32 active (at the games launch in 1994) and 8 retired legends of the game.
In Exhibition mode, you have varying match options. This ranges from a singles match verses the computer, another player or you can simply just watch. You can also play a doubles match with up to four players.
In Exhibition Tournaments, you can create a singles tournament, and customize things such as the length of a match, and the four kinds of playing surface (hard, indoor, clay or grass).
