Pelé II: World Tournament Soccer, known as Pelé's World Tournament Soccer in Europe, is a football video game released by Accolade in 1994 for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. It is the sequel to Pelé!, a 1993 Mega Drive/Genesis game which was also made by Radical.
It is endorsed by Brazilian footballer Pelé, whose likeness appears throughout the game.
Released to coincide with the 1994 World Cup in the United States, the game features all 24 nations from that competition, meaning many teams such as France, England and Czech Republic are omitted from the roster. Since U.S. Gold's World Cup USA '94 held the exclusive FIFA license for the tournament, each team in Pelé II has a squad of thirteen fictitious players including Brian O'Brien of Ireland and Goggles Pisano of Italy.
Players are given the choice of participating in a World Cup competition in the tournament mode or a single match in an exhibition game. Up to four human players can participate in the latter using the 4-Way Play adapter.
